1. THE EFFECT OF IMEDEEN ON THE CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF CUTANEOUS AGEING
(Published in : Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology 1994; 3: 224)
2. AN ORAL APPROACH TO THE TREATMENT OF PHOTO-DAMAGED SKIN : A PILOT STUDY
(Published in : The Journal of International Medical Research 1992; 20: 271 – 278)
The above studies were conducted to evaluate the efficacy and effect of IMEDEEN on females with photo-aged skin.
A Professor of Dermatology at the Academic Hospital in Rotterdam, performed a twelve week double-blind placebo-controlled study on the effects of IMEDEEN on 46 women, aged between 40-65, all of whom had mild to moderate signs of photo-ageing. At the end of the period, he observed that a number of parameters, including wrinkles, skin texture and dilated capillaries had improved significantly in the women taking IMEDEEN. Objective measurements on this group also showed an increase in skin thickness. The Professor concluded that IMEDEEN has a beneficial effect on signs of photo-ageing after twelve weeks of use.
3. IMEDEEN IN THE TREATMENT OF PHOTO-AGED SKIN: AN EFFICACY AND SAFETY TRIAL OVER 12 MONTHS
(Published in : Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology 1998; 11:129-136)
The study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of IMEDEEN on females with photo-aged skin.
A Danish dermatologist carried out a year long clinical study on the effects IMEDEEN on 144 women, aged between 35-50, all of whom had mild to moderate signs of photo-ageing. At the end of the study, a statistically significant improvement was shown in all the objective measuring tests, leading her to conclude that IMEDEEN is active in the dermis where it improves basic skin structure and texture, as well as the skin’s natural ability to retain moisture. Over time, IMEDEEN can also help visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, dilated capillaries and age spots, whilst improving the skin’s moisture balance.
